Continental Asset Management is proud to announce its K5 million sponsorship of the SACCO Annual Lakeshore Conference 2025, an event organized by the Malawi Union of Savings and Credit Cooperatives (MUSCCO). The conference will take place from 21–22 November 2025 at Sunbird Livingstonia Hotel, bringing together SACCO leaders and financial inclusion stakeholders from across the country.

This year’s theme : “Facing the present and future Malawi economic reality: Power of collaboration and innovation for sustainability” , speaks directly to the challenges and opportunities facing Malawi’s cooperative finance sector. As the economy undergoes shifts driven by inflation, interest rates, and global pressures, SACCOs remain a vital force in expanding financial access and enabling community-centred economic growth.

Speaking during the symbolic cheque presentation, Mr. Lovemore Kambani, Head of Business Development and Marketing at Continental Asset Management, reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to strengthening SACCO sustainability:

“We are honoured to contribute to this conference because SACCOs are at the heart of financial inclusion in Malawi. Our commitment is to support their long-term growth by offering investment solutions designed specifically for SACCOs, allowing them to grow member funds, diversify income, and build financial resilience.”

Continental Asset Management’s SACCO investment solutions provide professionally managed options that enable cooperatives to:

  • Earn competitive returns,
  • Strengthen liquidity for member loan needs, and
  • Build long-term assets that support cooperative development.

By sponsoring this year’s conference, Continental Asset Management reinforces its dedication to creating opportunities that empower Malawian communities to build wealth through collective financial systems.

MUSCCO’s Head of Finance, Mr. Kingsley Mlewa, extended heartfelt appreciation to Continental Asset Management for the sponsorship. He emphasized that CAM has been a long-standing and trusted partner of MUSCCO and various SACCOs.

“We are grateful to Continental Asset Management for this generous sponsorship. CAM has been an important partner over the years, playing a key role in promoting financial inclusion which remains a core mandate of MUSCCO. Their investment solutions have helped many SACCOs strengthen their financial management and deliver greater value to their members.”
